Curriculum Information

Study Program

The MSITC's study program is divided in 8 quarters. In each quarter you will be able to take 2 courses. For each course you must to complete 32 hours in a classroom and 32 practical hours. Additionality the MSITC's students must work in a special study of graduation along the following lines:

Courses Description

Area: Technical
AS01 - Introduction to Software Engineering
To provide a wider picture about software engineering, based on knowledge and/or experience of the participants in relation to computer systems and its development.

AS03 - Advanced Database Administration
Designed to cover the theoretical and practical aspects of the data base administration systems. Practical Implementation of a high availability systems.
AS06 - Analisys and Design of Systems Architectures
Delves in theoretical and practical concepts in the system architectures implementation like: N Tiers, high availability and real-time systems.
AS09 - Information Theory
That the student knows, dominate and drive the necessary tools to understand the stochastic, statistical and random processes in the technology, cryptography and security sectors.
AS10 - Information Analysis
Concepts related to decision-making systems DSS and Data Mining Systems. KP Indicators, Score Cards, unstructured data analysis.

AS12 - Qualitative Research Methods for Information Systems and Management

This course will be conducted as a seminar, additionally the students will be actively involved in activities and class discussions.

AS13 - Information Privacy

Theoretical concepts in security systems, providing theoretical framework to understand the basic principles in cryptography, risk analisys and security policies, encription and security certificates.

AS14 - Cryptography
Presents the most utilized tools to implement security of information systems. Encryption of data bases, methodology CSIRT, XML signatures, XML encryption, Web Secuirty.

Area: Administrative

AS02 - Organizational and Technology Management

Provides a conceptual framework for tactic and operational strategic of the information systems from the corporate plans of the organization. understanding the steps needed to create, develop and manage a successful company.
AS04 - Project Management
Provides the necesary methodologies and tecniques to manage and create team works. Aspects of management and administration, pre-investment tasks, investment and project operation.
AS05 - Finance for Information Technology
Finance and Microeconomic concepts for the strategy and management in the finance evaluation of technological projects. Financial status analysis for risks and feasible.
AS07 - Information Planning
Provides the concepts for multidimentional data bases for the Datawarehousing and datamining implementation.

AS08 - Telecommunictions Management
Provides an introduction of techiques and dominant directives in efficient and safe development in telecommunications market. Including wireless networks, equipment and local and long distance services. It also will be discussed in depth the raise of Internet.

AS11 - Information Security

New technologies concepts and new applications development, data and voice networks, IP telephony and its applications, wireless networks, WAP protocol and autonomously programming.

AS15 - Entrepreneruship in Information Technology
Strengthen the development of research activities under a strategic plan to strengthen the channels of global knowledge sharing.

AS16 - Innovation in Information Technology

The especial study graduation is the last requisite to obtain the Arts Master degree Information and Communication Technologies. This special study graduation can be an assignment that using ICTs present an application or innovative solution to a practical problem, the generation of new knowledge in a specific area or a combination of both.
